Breezy, the leader in Trade-In, recycling, and refurbishing devices, joined the TechIsland tech ecosystem. Over 100 Breezy employees contribute to the closed-loop economy in 7 countries while decreasing the negative environmental impact. Since the company was launched two years ago, more than 30 partnership agreements have been signed with the most significant market players as part of the Trade-in program, which is available in more than 2,000 Breezy’s partner retail stores. Being a member of TechIsland is one of the company’s steps to expanding partnerships and business development.
Serhei Kostevitch, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors at ASBIS, which includes Breezy, is also a Board Member at TechIsland – a non-profit IT Association aimed to make Cyprus a tech hub of Europe. TechIsland has set an ambitious mission to make the tech industry the most impactful driver of GDP growth, tax revenue increase, and job market expansion on the island by 2030.
Besides Breezy, the initiative TechIsland joined over 180 member companies employing over 15000 people.
This initiative created a holistic real-time platform that maps and monitors the whole tech and innovation ecosystem. Such a platform allows the faster growth of Tech companies and Startups, as it is a crucial tool for the potential connection of companies with investors, partners, and customers.
“We are convinced that bringing together diverse talents can amplify the effectiveness of the whole community and benefit everyone. The TechIsland ecosystem is just such a promising opportunity for Cypriot tech players to gain synergy from the interaction of active platform members. Investors, startups, universities, corporations, venture capital, incubators, and many other stakeholders of the Cyprus tech ecosystem are gathered on a single platform and are ready for collaboration and dialogue”, commented Andrii Kosar, Breezy’s General Manager.
“We realize that every TechIsland initiative stakeholder can influence the development of Cyprus as a technological center of Europe and eventually make it a true hub of global IT business. Such a responsible approach to business, sustainable development and innovation focus is also in Breezy’s nature. I believe that such values match will make our collaboration efficient and successful”.
