“What is the best way to farewell the ongoing year?” the Breezy training team thought. First, of course, to make our dream come true sooner. So under the Christmas tree, we gathered Apple products and technology gurus into a cozy room to have a coffee and cookie talk on the point that makes us get up in the morning — how to prolong the life of gadgets and the planet.

After all, those IPros of the largest retailers from various Kazakhstan cities have a deal with the bulk of modern branded equipment. Therefore, and due to them, the Trade-In program in these chains works as efficiently as possible.

Why is it important? Because Kazakhstan generates over 136,000 tons of e-waste yearly equals 7.3 kg per country inhabitant. Unfortunately, only about 8% will be recycled. The rest will take their place in the landfill and poison the soil and wastewater with heavy metals and other hazardous substances. Trade-In helps prolong the life cycle of appliances and slow down the pace of e-waste generation, which has increased by 50% over the past 10 years*.

Moreover, the program makes brand-new gadgets more affordable to customers. A handed-over gadget discount allows buying a more expensive device for work, study, or hobby. In addition, trade-In increases the chances of bank loan approval while purchasing on credit and helps to save on interest. Also, there is no need to worry about where to put an old gadget or to waste time and nerves selling on your own and communicating with strangers — hand over an old device and buy a new one in one place in a matter of minutes.

Retail chains also benefit from Trade-In – the program boosts sales on average by 20% and cross-sales by 25%.

Specially designed for I-PROfessionals, the author’s workshop from Breezy brought much new knowledge, topics for reflection, and passion for developing a circular economy. “I didn’t suspect the program plays such an important role in Kazakhstan environment care,” “Now I know exactly how to interest buyers in Trade-In,” “I’m surprised not everyone hands over their old gadgets in exchange for a discount” — these are just a few of the thoughts of the workshop participants.

This year, Breezy held 65 seminars and workshops while training 5143 experts and sharing experience of sustainable development, circular economy, and Trade-In. If you want to learn more about the Trade-In program, don’t hesitate to contact us. Anyway, gadgets reuse is a trend worth everyone knowing.
