By trading in old devices, customers can cover a significant cost of their purchases, which encourages them to upgrade more frequently, opt for higher-end models, and invest in high-margin items like accessories and additional services.
The best results from Trade-In programs are often achieved during new model releases when attention from sellers, buyers, influencers, and the entire market is focused on the latest series' unique features, design, and enhancements. Breezy worked alongside authorized Apple resellers to prepare for this year's launch of the iPhone 16 series.
As a result, within the first three days of sales, Trade-In purchases of the iPhone 16 series exceeded last year's high figures by 60%-and for some retailers, this increase reached as high as 200%.

Breezy Experts On-Site The first days of a new product launch bring a rush to stores. Breezy experts were present in our partners' sales areas throughout these busy days to streamline the process of trading in old devices for new ones. The launch was a success-every new device sold out, with a significant portion through Trade-In.
Enhanced Support Center During this high-demand period, store teams and our Support Center faced an intense workload. To ensure fast assistance, we increased our support team's shifts, allowing us to respond to Trade-In questions from our partners' sales teams.
Trade-In as a Key Part of Advertising The advantages of purchasing an iPhone 16 through the Trade-In program have become integral to retailers' marketing communications, both online and in-store, for promoting the new product.
Increased Trade-In Top-Up During the first days of iPhone 16 sales, a special promotion offered an increased Trade-In value for customers of authorized Apple resellers in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Moldova, and Azerbaijan. This beneficial offer was well-received by many buyers.
"On the first day of sales, a customer came to pick up a phone he had pre-ordered for his manager," said Mykhailo Myronov, GM of Breezy Moldova. "Our consultant explained the Trade-In options, and a few hours later, he returned with his wife to trade in their old devices for two more phones."
Training for Retail Sales Staff One month before the official launch of the iPhone 16, the Breezy team conducted a series of training sessions for sales staff. These sessions covered program details, the special Top-up, and innovative tools to streamline device assessments. These tools include mobile apps and Apple's authorized diagnostic system, which Breezy was the first to implement in Europe.
"We are constantly enhancing the Trade-In service to make it as convenient, user-friendly, and profitable for our partners as possible," commented Andrii Kosar, CEO of Breezy. These tools were instrumental in supporting the successful launch of iPhone 16 sales-and they're just the beginning of the innovations we're rolling out."
Telemarketing With over half of the first-day sales made by pre-order, Breezy developed scripts for retailers to contact pre-order customers. Thousands of customers across multiple countries received calls about Trade-In benefits, leading to 20% of pre-order buyers opted Trade-In to save on their iPhone 16 purchase.
Trade-In Online Several of our retail partners implemented a user-friendly online widget, allowing customers to receive an instant discount on their used devices directly during the online purchase. Within hours of the launch, many popular models were sold out through this seamless Trade-In process.
The efforts paid off: customers eagerly upgraded to the latest model through Trade-In, taking advantage of this attractive offer. We are analyzing these results to deliver even greater impact in the coming year.
