The IFA 2023 fair flew by like one day. Thousands of participating companies, tens of thousands of attendees, the most advanced technologies and unprecedented opportunities to find new business partners and like-minded people.
For Breezy, the fair stays in memory through hundreds of meetings with visitors worldwide, new acquaintances and partnerships. Everything was just MEGA: productive, cool and quick. We presented a new generation of 2nd life gadgets and enjoyed the surprise of attendees with the quality of our technology. The most common question was “Is this gadget really of grade C? Are you sure it’s not B? 🙂
Traditionally, we share the insights we took from the IFA 2023 show held in Berlin on September 1-5.
Sustainability rocks
This year, sustainability gained particular attention. It was so particular that it deserved a separate Sustainable village, which included the best practices and trends.
Of course, this could not but inspire the Breezy team as our entire business is built on circularity, extending the lifespan of devices and returning used gadgets to the market to reduce the environmental footprint.
Green energy technologies for customers were showcased here, from compact solar panels that fit on a balcony to mobile camping and picnic stations that light, cool, make music and popcorn, and have a thousand and one other uses.
Let's get inspired and move on!
PanzerGlass is fighting alongside Breezy to extend the lifespan of devices. They do this with the help of super-reliable cases and screen protectors for electronics. Every attendee of the fair could check its resistance by the hammer test. Considering these screen protectors 45% consist of waste, there is even more value for nature.
Our longtime partner, Samsung, has devoted much of its fair area to sustainable development. Interactive stands show how different substances are recycled to become part of new devices.
Broken glass, metal parts, plastic and even discarded fishing nets are usefully used.
The company plans to achieve 100% use of recycled materials by 2050. Taking into account the company's systematic approach to this issue, we are confident that they will succeed.
You can never have too many robots
Robots are our particular passion. They live in our office and perform many functions on our new automated production lines in Poland. Therefore, we were sincerely delighted to find such an abundance of robots at the exhibition.
A robot dog from Boston Dynamics has earned the honorary title of "good boy". He followed commands, jumped, played with attendees and even brought a bone.
The robots at the show also brewed coffee, carried loads, taught children about ecology, and even danced.
Nostalgiiiiiia
Mid-century modern style has permeated design everywhere. Nostalgia for the 50s is reflected in the creation of appliances, from home to audio.
So buying iPhones of past series are in trend. Moreover, two trends are combined in the purchase of 2nd life gadgets – attention to sustainable solutions and nostalgia as a modern vibe.
We are looking forward to next year full of new trends and new meetings!
