After unveiling the new iPhone 15, Apple enthusiasts eagerly anticipated its release. Breezy, too, was gearing up for this momentous occasion, as the launch of a new model invariably leads to a surge in Trade-In activity. To streamline the process of exchanging old devices for new ones during the initial sales frenzy, Breezy experts were consistently present in the sales areas of our partners. The launch was a resounding success – all new units were quickly sold out, with up to half acquired through the Trade-In program.

The message highlighting the advantages of acquiring the iPhone 15 via the Trade-In program was seamlessly integrated into the marketing communications of resellers, both online and in-store. During the first three days of iPhone 15 sales, a special offer of Trade-In top-up was extended to buyers at authorized Apple resellers in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.

The efforts invested have borne fruit. Buyers seized the opportunity to upgrade their smartphones to the latest model through Trade-In. On average, one of every three iPhone 15 units was bought in Apple-authorized reseller stores in exchange for old devices.

"For iSpace customers, the Trade-In service has long been a familiar hallmark of quality service. They readily embrace the opportunity to efficiently and securely dispose of their old gadgets in the store, offsetting a portion of their purchase cost. Hence, it was anticipated that a substantial portion of in-store sales during the new model launch involved exchanging older equipment," remarked Mykola Trotsenko, GM of iSpace Ukraine.

Buyers also extensively used the multi-trade-in options, which allowed them to trade in an unlimited number of old gadgets, covering up to 99% of the purchase cost. For instance, one of Foxtrot's customers, Ukraine's largest omnichannel retailer for electronics and household appliances, which recently joined Breezy's Trade-In network, brought six used devices to exchange for an iPhone 15 at the store.

"Trade-In is a potent tool for driving sales in the personal electronics sector, boosting new equipment sales by up to 20%. However, during the release of new models, this figure experiences a substantial surge. On average, every third iPhone 15 was purchased at official retail outlets in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova in exchange for older devices. In certain networks, this percentage even reached a remarkable 64%," commented Andrii Kosar, GM of Breezy.
