This step allows customers in one more country to benefit from Breezy's services related to the development of the circular economy by prolonging the lifespan of devices. The company conducts a full cycle of gadget reuse, from providing electronics retailers with trade-in services to tech refurbishment at its own production facilities and returning the devices to the market. Products that do not qualify for renewal after diagnostics are safely recycled.

"Azerbaijan marks the seventh country in a row where Breezy is implementing its sustainable solutions for electronics. We recognize the immense potential of this market and have set ambitious development plans. Our vision includes establishing a full-cycle business with our own production facilities for electronics grading and refurbishment, as well as omnichannel sales. This includes a vast network of Trade-In partners, the e-commerce platform breezy.az, and a branded brick-and-mortar retail chain, Breezy Experience Stores. We aim to open at least one such store in Baku by the end of 2024," shared Andrii Kosar, CEO and co-founder of Breezy, about the company's development plans in Azerbaijan.

Serhei Kostevitch, President of the ASBIS Group commented: "In ASBIS we care very much about a sustainable approach to the environment. Therefore, creating Breezy and developing the company's activities was a natural business step for us. Breezy combines a dynamic and profitable business development through an ecological approach which perfectly suits our strategy. We see a very high demand for this type of services not only in Western Europe, but also in Eastern markets, where we are very strong. We continue support the development of Breezy since we believe in the company's mission, which aligns with the overall Group's mission and we are happy to see its expansion plan materializing."

Ramil Mukhtarov will lead the development of Breezy's business in Azerbaijan. He has been working in managerial positions in the electronics retail industry for 10 years. In 2017, he joined the ASBC Azerbaijan team, part of the ASBIS Group, where he was involved in product and retail sales management.

"I have been working in the electronics retail field for over ten years, and Breezy's idea to extend the life cycle of gadgets resonates with me sincerely. This approach helps reduce the environmental footprint of electronics while making top-notch modern technology more accessible to users. I am very pleased to join such an ambitious team, and I am sure that together we will achieve outstanding results," emphasized Ramil Mukhtarov.

Today, Breezy has offices in seven countries: Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine, employing about 200 people. The company is the region's largest trade-in provider for retailers and telecoms and a leading player in the refurbished electronics market. Breezy's portfolio of partners includes over 40 leading retail chains (iSpace, OLX, Rozetka, Foxtrot, Sulpak, Mechta, Mi-Markt, etc.), telecom companies (Orange, Vodafone, kcell, and others), and vendors (Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Honor, etc.). In addition to partner stores, Breezy products are distributed through its own network, which includes four e-commerce platforms and eight experience stores.

Gadget grading and refurbishment occur at Breezy's production facilities, the largest of which opened in 2023 in Poland. This automated and robotic facility, with an area of approximately 1000 m², ensures high speed and quality of device restoration. The production facility has three ISO quality certifications: quality management system ISO 9001, environmental impact reduction system ISO 14001, and information security management system ISO 27001.

Breezy's efforts gave 160,000 phones a second life within a year, reducing CO2 equivalent emissions by 12,640 tons. Additionally, end users benefited from $20 million in trade-in savings.
