At the beginning of June, Breezy,<\/i> an international Trade-In provider that is a subsidiary of WSE listed ASBISc Enterprises PLC, a leading value-added distributor, developer and supplier of ICT and IoT products, solutions and services on the growing markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and<\/i> MiMarkt – an authorized network of Xiaomi stores in Poland, announced a partnership aimed to extend sustainable solutions in electronics in Poland.<\/i> As a result of the partnership, a program was created to exchange used smartphones of any brand for Mi equipment, available in all MiMarkt stores in six cities in Poland. This program will be managed by Breezy.<\/i><\/p>\n

Breezy is a leading provider of Trade-In services in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Georgia. Trade-In Breezy's partner network includes more than 35 large and nationally recognized electronics retailers with more than 2,000 stores.<\/p>\n

The partnership with MiMarkt is Breezy's debut in Poland after the company announced it entered the Polish market and launched 1,000 m2 of its production facilities in Raszyn near Warsaw in February 2023. Since then, the company has gained ISO certification in three areas: in the field of the quality management system (ISO 9001), reducing the footprint of production processes on the environment (ISO14001), and information security management system (ISO 27001). These steps enabled Breezy to apply its Trade-In development experience in Poland in partnership with leading market players. <\/p>\n

MiMarkt is an authorized chain of customer electronics experience stores in Poland dedicated to Xiaomi products. The company has been operating in the market of new technologies and consumer electronics for more than ten years, promoting the technologies of Xiaomi and making them available in our country.<\/p>\n

The program is simple and transparent. A customer should visit MiMarkt's stores in Warsaw, Szczecin, Gdansk, Olsztyn, Bialystok, or Bielsko-Bialabrings with a smartphone 2018 and above of any brand. The expert will evaluate the gadget and deduct the phone's price from the cost of any device from the store's wide range.<\/p>\n

A customer can instantly find the cost of the device in the nearest store without preliminary sending the phone and waiting for assessment. An expert evaluates a gadget in front of the customer for up to five minutes. Then the discount can be used immediately for a new purchase. <\/p>\n

Customers will also appreciate an assortment of brands and models appropriate for trade-in. A phone of any brand and model released after 2018 may participate in the program. Availability of original packaging and accessories is optional. <\/p>\n

Customers also have a wide choice of products to purchase through the program. It includes all Mi brand gadgets available in MiMarkt: smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, vacuum cleaners, scooters, skin care equipment, etc.<\/p>\n

Afterward, Breezy will refurbish traded-in phones with international requirements to refurbish and then return them to the market: to retailers, mobile operators, or e-commerce platforms. That's how to extend gadgets' lifespan and thus mitigate the electronics' environmental footprint.<\/p>\n

Canalys’ latest research<\/a><\/ins> shows that global smartphone shipments comprise 269,8 million units in Q1 2023. Given that customers upgrade their phones every 18 months, a significant part of those gadgets will soon transfer into a drawer to gradually loosen in value and technical condition. Over time, they will end up in a landfill to poison the water and soil with heavy metals and other hazardous substances. Thus, people generate over 50 million tons<\/a><\/ins> of e-waste globally every year, and this frightening amount is increasing. Between 2010 and 2019, e-waste generation increased by roughly 60%, making it the fastest-growing type of waste.<\/p>\n
